Everyone has a story, and it’s time for me to share mine.
Welcome to my little corner of the internet, where I share my thoughts and wisdom I have gained through my journey in time. I hope that as you read you feel seen, experience healing, and realize that every moment is a drop of gold in the grand timing of your life. I hope my words empower you to take on each day without any limitations, no matter what challenges you face.
I’ve lived through many experiences, but one thing has stuck out to me: there is so much more to learn. So join me, every month, as I explore through time.
Wake up, wake up, wake up!!! You’ve been down for too long, and there’s no one to blame but yourself. You are not a victim of life. Life does not happen to you. You make the life you want happen for you. You are a co-creator of your life and destiny. All you need to do is make a choice today that you will do all you can within your control to take life by the horns.
What if you came to understand that time is actually within your control? As long as you can control your mind, you can control your time. When things feel out of control or we’ve “lost track of time” it’s because our minds have left the present moment and wandered beyond what we can control. Either the past or the future.
So I abandoned you guys without saying anything. Please forgive me. I would like apologize in Yoruba to express how sorry I am...if I could actually speak the language.
Whew! This is a conversation that is very near and dear to my heart. This one goes very deep for me. So I’ll go back to the beginning where it all started:
There’s a place for habits, but, our habits aren’t always helpful in determining how we behave, they can easily get boring and redundant.
I find that many of us just go through life without understanding what makes things work for us or what is hindering our progress, and honestly you can’t blame us. Our lives are over-saturated with noise and distractions so it’s difficult to be attentive to what is going on internally.
The power of mentorship is so extremely underrated. I think we may have lost sight of the value of having proximity and access to someone that can guide you on a consistent basis, and the impact this can have on you achieving your version of success.
Purpose brings you to life, vision keeps you alive.
For so long, I've been fascinated by the concept of purpose, both for myself and people that I’ve chatted with. However, I battled figuring out how to live with purpose on a daily basis.
I've always considered myself to be quite terrible at multitasking. I was never one of those people that could have Grey’s Anatomy playing in the background while studying, and those FaceTime study dates were definitely not the best use of my time.
I've decided to leave my perfectionist bag at the door and step into this with vulnerability. With the way I was moving, I wouldn't have anything to post by the date I was set to. Not because I lack inspiration or the desire to write but there's a way I want you guys to experience my writing that kept me stuck for so long.
My hope is that my vulnerability in sharing my story, and what I have found helpful, will empower you to take charge of your life. Your time is your life and I am determined to show you how you can live out that purpose without any limitations.
The hard truth is: you cannot live a purpose-driven life if you’re chasing pleasure. Purpose demands pain—the kind of pain that strengthens you, refines you, and pushes you beyond what feels comfortable.
